Creating A Room For Your Stuffed Animal
Although this is not required, it is always a good idea to have a room for your stuffed animals to get cozy in. Here are some steps that can teach you how to make a successful room.
Step One: Find The Space
Find a small enclosed space for your stuffed animal's room. The roof should be about four inches taller than your stuffed animal's head, and the room should be about four inches longer than your stuffed animal laying down. Also, make sure the room is not to far away from your bed so your stuffed animal does not get lonely at night!
Step Two: Furniture
Find some small items or furniture for your stuffed animal. You could buy them or make them yourself. Make sure your animal has everything they need to be happy. You could buy/make them a bed table, a dresser, a clock, etc... Make sure you have room for a bed for your stuffed animal though!
Step Three: Beds
Your stuffed animal's bed could be made out of many things. It could be a cardboard bed with a plush mattress, a fancy designer bed from a toy store, or simply a pillow draped with a blanket. Make sure the bed is plush and soft enough for your animal to sleep on. It will also need to be long enough for your animal to lay down on.
Step Four: Objects
Gather interesting toys for your stuffed animal. Go looking around your house for unneeded items that you can put in your animal's house. This can include furniture, decoration, and things for your animal to play with.
Step Five: Wall Decor
Put some wall decor on the walls to make them friendly and exciting. This will help comfort your animal when they are scared. You can use stickers, make posters, or print out pictures and tape them to the walls of the room.
Step Six: Clothes Storage
If your stuffed animal wears clothes, you can make a small storage bin so they can store their clothes in. Make sure the storage bin is not damp, or has any colorful items in it. Otherwise your clothes will become damp and stained.
Step Seven: Comfort Blanket
Place a pillow or blanket on your stuffed animal's bed for them to hold for comfort when they are scared, or just need something to hold onto when they are sleeping. You could also hang another blanket over the entrance of the room as a type of curtain or door. After all, your stuffed animals need their privacy!
Step Eight: Ask
Ask your stuffed animal if he/she likes his/her's new room. If not, change it to match his/her's requirements. Now you are ready to play with your stuffed animal in his/her's new room!
