How To Bring Home A New Stuffed Animal
When bringing a new stuffed animal home, you want to make sure it feels secure and safe. You want to make sure your new stuffed animal is happy and comfortable in his/her's new home. Here are some steps that will make your new stuffed animal's first day at his/her's hew home a happy one.
Step One: Decide
It is important to decide a little bit about your animal before you take it home. Will it be a boy or a girl? Where will it sleep? What supplies do you need to buy to make it feel at home? When you have everything set up, purchase the animal and bring it home. While you are driving back to your house, talk to it about your home. Tell him/her about it's new room, if it has any other stuffed animal friends he/she will meet, and what he/she will be doing while you are away. Make sure he/she feels ready to go inside his/her's new home.
Step Two: Tour
Give your new stuffed animal a tour of his/her's new home. Show him were he/she will sleep and where the food is. Tell him/her anything he/she will need to know to live in his/her's new house.
Step Three: Around Town
To get our stuffed animal used to you and going around, take him/her with you when you are running errands. He/she might enjoy it very much. Buy your stuffed animal treats while you are running errands to make him/her happy.
Step Four: Vacations
Take your new stuffed animal on vacations to strengthen his/her's bond with you. When going on vacations make sure to keep a close eye on your stuffed animal so he/she will not get lost. Make sure to pack for your stuffed animal as well! Anything you would normally need for a trip your stuffed animal will need as well.
Step Five: Strong Heart, Strong Bond
Keep loving your stuffed animal. It is important to keep a strong bond with him/her so that you can be friends forever! Try to do everything together if possible! You and your stuffed animal will enjoy every moment!
